An Award-Winning Collaboration by the DI Team and the Development Services Department of the Council. In the ever-evolving world of property development and town planning, the DI Team, in partnership with the Development Services department of the council, proudly presents Development.i.
This state-of-the-art platform stands as the council's answer to the community's need for a comprehensive tool to track and visualise development applications within the Sunshine Coast local government area.
With Development.i, users can effortlessly access past and current application details, basic property information, and much more. The platform's intuitive design ensures easy navigation, akin to browsing a real estate search website. Users can view developments on a map, adjust filters, save searches, receive alerts on new applications, and track application statuses.
Launched in October 2018, Development.i quickly set a new Australian benchmark for accessing development information, empowering communities to stay informed and engage actively in the planning process. Our efforts were recognized when Development.i clinched the 'Improving Planning Processes and Practices' award at the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) Queensland Awards for Planning Excellence in 2019.

My Council
In today's digital age, accessibility and user experience are paramount. Recognizing this, the DI Team embarked on a mission to revamp the Sunshine Coast Council's online services.
The result? MyCouncil, a sleek, modern, and mobile-friendly platform that serves as a seamless front end to existing systems. But we didn't just give it a fresh coat of paint. We integrated it with core council systems including, T1 Property, ensuring a unified experience for users. Beyond that, MyCouncil boasts advanced functionalities like the Contributed Asset Acceptance Portal and the much-loved Plumbing Booking System.
Our goal was to create a platform that not only looks good but also makes interactions with the council smooth and efficient.

Plumbing Inspection Bookings
Say goodbye to the hassle of managing plumbing inspection bookings the old way!
The DI Team, in collaboration with Development Services, presents the Online Plumbing Inspection Booking System - a time-saving, user-friendly platform that's so loved, some plumbers have jokingly proposed marriage to it! Available 24/7 on any device, this system lets plumbers book, change, and cancel inspection bookings, upload documents, lodge form 7s, and much more. From viewing completed inspections to accessing approved documents, it's all here.

Contributed Asset Acceptance Portal
The DI Team, in collaboration with Development Services, took the initiative to modernise and systemise the asset handover process for Sunshine Coast Council by introducing the Contributed Asset Acceptance Portal (CAAP).
At the completion of development projects for construction of public infrastructure and facilities, known as 'contributed assets', a year long approval process is started before the council takes final responsibility. These approvals required a rigorous inspection, maintenance, and acceptance process to ensure the assets were safe and fit for community use. Recognising the challenges of manual and inconsistent processes often buried in emails, we built the CAAP to bring these processes into the modern world.
This online system assesses and approves infrastructure to be handed over as part of a development approval. By streamlining the asset handover process, the portal promotes transparency, consistency, accountability, awareness, and meticulous record-keeping. Our work on the CAAP stands as a testament to our team's dedication to innovation and efficiency.

Property Compass
This mobile-focused tool is all about harmonising homes with the Sunshine Coast's sub-tropical climate. Whether you're building anew or renovating, the Property Compass guides you on how to orientate your home for natural comfort, keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter. Inspired by the Department of Environment and Science’s compass from 1999, it's a blend of tradition and innovation.

Site Reports
A Collaborative Triumph by the DI Team and the Development Services Department of the Council. In the intricate world of town planning and property development, the need for precise and all-encompassing information stands paramount. Recognising this imperative, the DI Team, in collaboration with the Development Services department of the council, proudly unveils the Development.i Site Reports.
This pioneering tool provides an exhaustive view of general town planning details for any property, encompassing planning scheme zoning, overlay information, interactive mapping links, and pivotal application and approval data. Our platform doesn't just end there; it seamlessly integrates direct links to application details via Development.i, mapping layers through MyMaps, state-related assessment data via the State Government's SARA DA mapping system, and water and sewer infrastructure insights through Unitywater's web mapping application.
Crafted with a diverse user base in mind, from landowners and potential purchasers to real estate agents and development consultants, our report ensures effortless access and understanding of town planning information.
